About Us

Shri Sharda English Medium School campus spread across an area of 12 acres and is located in the heart of city, Kopargaon. It is an excellent area in and around the vicinity of Kopargaon, for children coming to school and is well designed and planned to meet the academic sports and cultural requirements of the students and staff. The school area is having evergreen and beautiful trees which make the surrounding areas more ecofriendly.

It is run under the aegis of Somaiya Vidyavihar Trust, Mumbai. It is a charitable and non-profitable Institution, established in the year 1953 by an enterpreneur, philanthropist and visionary Padmabhushan (Late) Shri Karamshi Jethabhai Somaiya - A self made man, simple yet compassionate, who dedicated his life to the service of mankind. He had a vision and grit to achieve his dreams with a single–minded purpose. He believed that modern education had to have its roots in strong values.

Shri Sharda English Medium School is situated near Karmabhumi of Shri Sai Baba and opposite to the S.S.G.M. College, near Yeola naka which is on Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway. It is walkable distance from Kopargaon bus stand and 2 km from Kopargaon railway station. Kopargaon is a taluka place in Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra and is situated on the bank of the river Godavari. The school is 40 km from Manmad railway station. The famous temple of Shri Sai Baba at Shirdi is 15 km away from the school.
