Shri Sharda English Medium School was established in the year 1975 and was managed by local management Sharda Education Society under the Founder member & Chairman Late Shri Mohanrao Gade. Later on in the year 1992, the entire school management was handed over to Somaiya Vidyavihar Trust, Mumbai with the strength of only 165 students.

With Many Such Thoughts, In The Year 1939, Shri Karamshi Jethabhai Somaiya Started Two Sugar Factories – One in Sakarwadi and other at Laxmiwadi to Mark The Launch Of His Own Sugar Business. He Soon Made Remarkable Progress & Achievement In The History Of Sugar Industries. It Was The Vision Of Shri K. J. Somaiya That Modern Professional Education Must Remain True To The Spirit Of Indian Ethos And Culture.

For The Children Of Factory Workers & Localities, He Established Somaiya Vidyamandir, sharda In The Year 1959, And The Director Of Ssc Board, Pune Granted Permission For The Classes Of Std. 5Th To 10Th On 9Th Sept. 1959. This Was The School In The Surrounding Areas, Which Provides Educational Facilities To The Nearby Villages Like Nighoj, Nimgaon, Shirdi, Rui, Sonewadi, Dorhale, Korhale, Nimshiwadi, Savalivihir, Etc.

It’s No Small Achievement To Distinguish Oneself In Such Diverse Fields As Commerce, Education, And Philanthropy. Pujya Shriman Karamshibhai Jethabhai Somaiya, Born On May 16 1902 In The Remote Village Of Malunjar In Ahmednagar District Of Maharashtra, India, Was However, A Blessed Person By Dint Of Hard Work And Singular Devotion To Service.

Born To Humble Beginnings He Rose To Become One Of The Doyens Of The Industry In Western India. The Young Karamshi, After Completing School At The New High School In Mumbai (Now The Bharda School) Went Back To His Hometown In Ahmednagar Embarking On A Career Of Tireless Work Marked By Singular Devotion To Whatever He Did.
